Aeria Games

Post  Tia on Sat May 12, 2012 11:41 am

I've taken a look at some of their games and from what I have seen they all have guild systems and even personal guild bases of operation. Their games are also client based as opposed to browser based which I find makes for smoother gameplay. Has anypony else played these games? and if so how were they?

I apologize princess but I don't play browser based MMOs anymore since my terrible experience with Grepolis. The only browser games I play now are single players like Pandemic or Stick War and even then I don't play too many of those..

Well that's what's nice about aeria games the publish browser based (like Battlestar Galactica) and client based (like Star Trek Online) games. Besides I don't like browser based much easier which is why Eden Eternal and their other client based games appeal to me.

After a cursory glance at their list of PC games, I found Shaiya and Last Chaos catching my eye. Eden Eternal's artwork is bit too cartoonish for my tastes, which seems a little hypocritical even to me given the circumstances that brought me to this point. I say this too without having taken the time to give them a try. STO will still occupy me as my main MMO for the time being but I can also see a time in the (perhaps distant) future where the fleet transitions from the United Equestria Space Fleet to something like the United Equestria Alliance, spanning multiple games. We already have a foothold in a handful of others. The trick will be finding one that compliments our already established member base so as to garner as much cross-genre attention as possible.

I have played one of Aria Games, games once.

It was OK, but the thing I remember most is that when installing, it stealth-installed some sort of download accelerator that stayed resident and active, which gave my firewall constant fits with its constant trying to connect to the internet.

I did not care for that much at all Mad

Uggh I hate that. Oh well looks like we'll have to explore some other opportunities.
